This year in math, students will strengthen and build on the knowledge they learned in 2nd grade. At a glance, in third grade students will learn multiplication, division, and fractions!
Quarter 1 - In quarter 1, students will begin to learn about multiplication, rounding, and how to read and create various graphs.
Quarter 2 - In quarter 2, students will continue to practice rounding and multiplication. In this quarter students are introduced to division and geometry.
Quarter 3 - In quarter 3, students will learn how to solve for area and perimeter. Students will also be introduced to fractions and will be asked to compare different fractions.
Quarter 4 - In quarter 4, students will learn how to measure length, weight, and capacity. Students will end the year learning about time and how to solve elapsed time.
